The areas affected include. Chesapeake Bay from Drum Point MD to Smith Point VA. Chesapeake Bay from North Beach to Drum Point MD. Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD. Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD. Chester River to Queenstown MD. Choptank River to Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River. Eastern Bay. Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding Bloodsworth Island. At 246 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered thunderstorms capable of producing winds of 20 to 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Rock Hall to near Parsons Island to 12 nm east of Choptank River to near Bivalve. The thunderstorms were drifting toward the west-southwest.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert for Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York Counties in the Susquehanna Valley, through this evening. A Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors. At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.
