Locally dense fog is expected at times very early this morning. Drier air will be moving in over the next several hours but be prepared for locally dense fog over Downeast until daybreak. Be prepared for sudden reductions in visibilities if traveling this morning. Reduce speed, use low beam headlines and keep plenty of distance between you and vehicles ahead of you.

Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties. * WHEN. From Friday morning through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. The cold temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. Anyone on boast of paddle craft should use extreme caution to avoid this threat.

In Maine, Coastal York, Coastal Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Coastal Waldo Counties. In New Hampshire, Coastal Rockingham County. * WHEN. From Friday morning through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. The cold water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. According to the US Coast Guard, when the water temperatures are below 50 degrees, the chance of immediate incapacitation due to cold shock is extremely high.
