SMWLCH The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal waters from Intracoastal City to Cameron LA out 20 NM. Coastal waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA out 20 NM. * Until 200 AM CDT. * At 1252 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over South Marsh Island 217, or 11 nm southwest of Marsh Island, moving southeast at 20 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. South Marsh Island 217, South Marsh Island 239, Eugene Island 24, Vermilion 31, Vermilion 51, South Marsh Island 236, Eugene Island 28, South Marsh Island 243, and Eugene Island 30.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana. Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting Pointe Coupee, West Feliciana and East Baton Rouge Parishes. For the Lower Mississippi River. including Red River Landing. Minor flooding is forecast to continue. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Mississippi River at Red River Landing. * WHEN. Until Thursday, June 13. * IMPACTS. Impacts. At 51.0 feet, All river islands along the reach from Red River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps and river bottom farm land will be under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 6:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 50.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall for several days to about 48 feet, then rise to a level of 49 feet.
