Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Kansas. Pottawatomie Creek at Lane affecting Franklin County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Pottawatomie Creek at Lane. * WHEN. Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 23.0 feet, Minor low land flooding begins along the creek. At 23.5 feet, Virginia Road floods north of the bridge closing the road. At 24.0 feet, Douglas Road floods about a quarter mile northwest of Lane. At 25.0 feet, Cloud Road, also known as the road to Richmond floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 23.9 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.1 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this evening. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.

Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Marais Des Cygnes River at Osawatomie. * WHEN. Until Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS. At 28.0 feet, Low-lying areas along the river begin to flood. At 31.0 feet, 347th Road or Main Street east of Highway 169 is under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 27.3 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 29.0 feet just after midnight tonight.
