At 13.5 feet, Water affects the lowest sections of Palo. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 6:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.0 feet. - Forecast. Flood stage may be reached early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE. The Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49, or from Timber Creek near Le Grand. to Salt Creek near Belle Plaine. * WHEN. Until early Monday morning. * IMPACTS. At 14.0 feet, Water affects Hwy E49 between D Ave and E Ave. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 2:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 13.6 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.9 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.

Iowa River at Marengo. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 17.0 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. Extensive inundation of agricultural land. At 18.0 feet, Water breaches the mill race dikes near Middle Amana. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.2 feet. - Recent Activity. The river has fallen from 16.8 feet this morning. However, it is expected to begin to rise again this evening as routed flow from upstream begins to arrive. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.6 feet Monday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 13.7 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
