At 301 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Meskwaki Casino to near Ladora. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Cedar Rapids, Vinton, Marengo, Marion, Hiawatha, Belle Plaine, Fairfax, Atkins, Walford, Dysart, Palo, Shellsburg, Victor, Newhall, Blairstown, Van Horne, Keystone, Norway, Garrison, and Ladora. This includes the following highways. Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 207 and 217. Interstate 380 between mile markers 15 and 24.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail and rainfall of a half inch to one inch. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Ponding of water on roadways, low visibilities, and rises in small streams and creeks. Locations impacted include. Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Marshalltown, Newton, Oskaloosa, Pella, Waverly, Grinnell, Eldora, Grundy Center, Toledo, Montezuma, Allison, Evansdale, Tama, Jesup, La Porte City, Hudson, Sumner, and Parkersburg. This includes the following highways. Interstate 80 between mile markers 161 and 204. Interstate 380 between mile markers 56 and 73.

At 13.3 feet, Water affects 360th St near the intersection with S Ave. or 1 1/4 miles west of Chelsea. The City of Chelsea is inaccessible from the south. Hwy E49 is down to one lane near the Iowa River in the Chelsea area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast.
