Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid Lake. * Until 200 AM CDT. * At 1155 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 nm northwest of Elgin to 10 nm south of Midway Airport, moving northeast at 30 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Strong thunderstorms will be near. Monroe Harbor, 31st Street Harbor, Burnham Harbor, DuSable Harbor, and Jackson Park Harbor around 1220 AM CDT. Montrose Harbor, Harrison-Dever Crib, Belmont Harbor, and Diversy Harbor around 1225 AM CDT. Wilmette Harbor around 1230 AM CDT. Waukegan Harbor around 1245 AM CDT. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. New Lenox, Mokena, Frankfort, Manteno, Peotone, University Park, Manhattan, Monee, Wilton Center, and Symerton.

In north central Illinois, De Kalb and La Salle. In northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall and Will. * WHEN. Until 500 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 100 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 2 inches of rain has already fallen in portions of the area. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over portions of the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
