SMWCHS The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA out 20 nm. Coastal waters from Savannah GA to Altamaha Sound GA out 20 nm . including Grays Reef National Marine Sanctuary. Waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA extending from 20 nm to 40 nm. Waters from Savannah GA to Altamaha Sound GA extending from 20 nm to 60 nm. * Until 145 AM EDT. * At 1249 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 7 nm northeast of Buoy L, or 12 nm west of R7 Tower, moving east at 25 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts and wind gusts 35 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. R7 Tower.

Radar Indicated. IMPACT. Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of light, unsecured objects. Some locations in the path of this storm include. Hinesville, Ludowici, Fort Stewart, Walthourville, Riceboro, Flemington, Allenhurst, and Gumbranch.

Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include. Jesup, Baxley, Alma, Surrency, Odum, Doctortown, and New Lacy.
