* WHAT. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents expected. * WHERE. Coastal areas of Volusia and northern Brevard counties. * WHEN. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 2 PM EDT Saturday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through late tonight. * IMPACTS. Some flooding of low-lying lots, parks and roadways may occur near the shoreline. Only isolated road closures are expected. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Coastal flooding impacts are expected at high tide particularly in the mid to late morning hours Friday and Saturday.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida. St Johns River Near Astor affecting Volusia and Lake Counties. .The Saint Johns River at Astor is forecast to remain in Moderate Flood Stage through late week and into Saturday, before falling into Minor Flood Stage into late weekend or early next week. However, any additional heavy rainfall near or upstream of Astor could delay the decrease and even lead to a further rise. For the St. Johns River. including Astor. Moderate flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Friday morning at 1115 AM EDT. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. St Johns River near Astor. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 3.0 feet, Water approaches or may enter lowest homes on or near Wildhog Road and nearby canals. Flooding reaches the parking lot of the Juno Trail Apartments. Flooding on portions of Alligator Road and Holiday Road. Lowest lying yards along Blue Creek are flooded. Roads at Astor Landing Campground and Lake Dexter Boat Ramp begin to flood. Water enters lower homes closest to the river on McPherson Lane. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 3.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 2.0 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM EDT Thursday was 3.3 feet. - Forecast. The river, which is in Moderate Flood Stage at 3.2 feet is expected to slowly fall through late week into this weekend, eventually falling into Minor Flood Stage, below 3.0 feet, into late weekend or early next week. - Flood stage is 2.3 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
