SMWJAX The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM. * Until 915 PM EDT. * At 809 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Mayport, or 30 nm north of Saint Augustine, moving east at 10 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Mayport, and Saint Johns Lighted Buoy.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas. Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM. Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM. Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM. Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60 NM. At 757 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated areas of thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 16 nm east of Amelia City to 8 nm west of Jacksonville Beach, moving east at 10 knots.
