The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida. Choctawhatchee River near Bruce (SR 20) affecting Washington and Walton Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Choctawhatchee River near Bruce (SR 20). * WHEN. Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. At 14.0 feet, Big Cedar, Cowford, and Choctawhatchee River Roads begin to flood in Walton County. Flood waters impact storage areas underneath homes on the west banks of the Choctawhatchee River. Low areas along Strickland Road in Washington County become subject to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Thursday was 14.6 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 12.3 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood History.
