ESFMFL Increasing tropical moisture is expected to advect into the region this upcoming week. PWAT values will be increasing to values in excess of 2.5 inches, which is around seasonal maxes for this time of year. The increase in moisture will likely result in periods of heavy rain across South Florida from Tuesday through at least Friday. Slow moving storms combined with high rainfall rates may lead to instances of flooding, especially over urban and poor drainage locations. At this time there is still plenty of uncertainty regarding timing of heaviest rainfall and rainfall amounts. Those details should come into clearer focus over the coming days.
