Coastal waters from Delray Beach to Pompano Beach FL out 10 NM. * Until 430 PM EDT. * At 337 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Boca Raton, moving south at 15 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. * Locations impacted include. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Delray Beach, Lighthouse Point, Boca Raton, Highland Beach, Sea Ranch Lakes, Hillsboro Beach, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, and Fort Lauderdale.

At 331 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over Boca Raton, moving south at 15 knots. The strong thunderstorm will be near. Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, and Highland Beach around 335 PM EDT. Lighthouse Point, Pompano Beach, and Hillsboro Beach around 340 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by the strong thunderstorm include Gulf Stream.

* WHAT. Saltwater flooding. * WHERE. Upper Florida Keys. * WHEN. Through late Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and lots is expected, with little relief outside of the hours of high tide. Some storm drains will overflow, and some seawalls and docks will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less clearance under fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that persistent puddles around the times of high tide are almost certain to contain a mix of saltwater.
