The areas affected include. Biscayne Bay. Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM. Waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL from 20 to 60 NM excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas. Waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM. At 752 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 17 nm east of Triumph Reef, moving northeast at 10 knots.

At 732 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking a strong thunderstorm near Chokoloskee, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 30 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. Chokoloskee, Everglades City, Plantation Island, Loop Road Ee Center, Carnestown, Big Cypress National Preserve, Dade-Collier Training Airport, Copeland, Jerome, and Deep Lake.

Portions of southeast, southern, and southwest Florida, including the following areas, in southeast Florida, Coastal Broward County, Coastal Miami Dade County, Coastal Palm Beach County, Far South Miami-Dade County, Inland Broward County, Inland Miami-Dade County, Inland Palm Beach County, Metro Broward County, Metro Palm Beach County and Metropolitan Miami Dade. In southern Florida, Glades and Hendry. In southwest Florida, Coastal Collier County, Inland Collier County and Mainland Monroe. * WHEN. Through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Enhanced tropical moisture will continue to pool across South Florida this week. This will result in periods of heavy rain. High rainfall rates and slow moving storms will result in flooding concerns, especially in urban and poor drainage locations. Additional rainfall totals through Wednesday evening are forecast to be 4-6 inches across Southwest Florida and interior South Florida, and 2-4 inches over the East Coast metro, with locally higher amounts possible. When combined with previous rainfall, this will result in storm totals through Wednesday evening of 5-9 inches across interior South Florida and southwest Florida, and 3-5 inches across the East Coast metro.
