At 517 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles northeast of Pa-Hay- Okee Overlook, or 11 miles west of Homestead General Airport, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 9 inches with isolated amounts up to 11 inches have fallen over South Florida since Tuesday morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are still forecast to fall over South Florida through Friday evening.
