SABCO THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER. . SPECIAL AVALANCHE ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM SUNDAY. *WHAT. Near-record temperatures and a deeper-than-normal June snowpack will result in large, potentially destructive, wet avalanches through the weekend. *WHERE. The mountains of Colorado above about 11,500 feet where there is an existing snowpack. *WHEN. Through Sunday evening *IMPACTS. Large wet avalanches may release naturally threatening backcountry travelers attempting to climb or ride on high peaks in Colorado *PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, including the following counties, in east central Colorado, north central Elbert. In northeast Colorado, southeastern Arapahoe. * WHEN. Until 800 PM MDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 509 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that may experience flooding include. Deer Trail.
