Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in western and southern Indiana. East Fork White River. Muscatatuck River. Wabash River. White River. .The summer floods of 2015 are coming to a close. River flooding will end in southern Indiana by Wednesday night. with high water along the Wabash River in western Indiana continuing into early August. On Saturday. the latest crest of the summer floods of 2015 was past Mount Carmel and will arrive at New Harmony today. remaining through tonight. High water in the Mount Carmel area was about 2 feet lower than late June levels. The crest at New Harmony will be about 1 foot below June levels. Flooding had ended along the White River upstream of Petersburg and will end along the East Fork White River by this evening. River levels along the White and East Fork White Rivers in southern Indiana are expected to return to more normal levels by Tuesday. Elevated river levels will continue into early August along the Wabash River. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions. Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river conditions. The Flood Warning continues for The Wabash River at Riverton. * until Sunday August 02. * At 9:00 AM Saturday the stage was 19.8 feet. * Flood stage is 15.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast. The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by early Sunday morning. * At 20.0 feet. Extensive flooding is in progress. Higher rural roads begin to flood.
