Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Nebraska. Platte River at Brady North Channel affecting Lincoln County. .The combination of seasonal snow melt in the upper South Platte River Basin and recent heavy precipitation over western Nebraska and northeastern Colorado will lead to flooding along the Platte River late this week. The current forecast continues to trend downward as there appears to be a lesser impact from runoff from the heavy rain event. but regardless the latest projections continue to indicate flooding along the Platte River affecting locations east of the confluence of the North and South Platte Rivers east through Lincoln county. The river will remain elevated through next week. River stage forecasts will be closely monitored and updated as upstream river data becomes available. Persons that live in vulnerable areas along the Platte River from the confluence east through Lincoln County should pay close attention to flood forecasts in the coming days and be prepared to take proper action as additional rainfall is possible overnight and again this weekend. The Flood Warning continues for The Platte River at Brady North Channel. * From Saturday night May 16th to Saturday May 23rd. * At 11:00 am on May 14th the stage was 6.7 feet. * Flood stage is 7.5 feet. * Forecast. The river will rise above flood stage on Saturday night May 16th. The river will continue to rise and crest near 8.3 feet on Tuesday May 19th. * Impact. At 9.0 feet. Moderate flood stage. West of Brady flooding occurs between McCullough Road and East Island Rd and Intersate 80. East of Brady flooding of agricultural land occurs near Interstate 80. Both of the north channels may overflow. &&
