Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Nebraska. South Platte River near Roscoe affecting Deuel and Keith Counties. South Platte River at North Platte affecting Lincoln County. Platte River at Brady North Channel affecting Lincoln County. .Flooding continues on portions of the South Platte and Platte Rivers in southwest Nebraska. however river levels have begun to steadily recede over the last 24 to 48 hours. Latest forecast has flows on the river slowly falling or holding steady through the end of the week. This will keep the South Platter River at Roscoe above flood stage. with downstream gauges in Lincoln County holding near or just below flood stage levels. Additional rises are expected on the South Platte and Platte Rivers in southwest Nebraska by early next week as another round of moderate to heavy rainfall is occurring upstream in the South Platte River basin at this time. The Flood Warning continues for the South Platte River near Roscoe. * Until further notice. * At 9:30 AM MDT Tuesday May 19th the stage was 9.9 feet. * Flood stage is 9.0 feet. * Forecast. The flows on the river will slowly fall or hold steady through the end of the week. This will keep the river above the flood stage of 9.0 feet. * Impact. At 11.0 feet. Moderate flood stage. Homes and out buildings along the river may flood. Flooding occurs along the river between Roscoe and the Interstate 80 exchange. Water may approach Link 51B which is the road between Interstate 80 and Roscoe on the south side of the river. &&
